Seconds after taking this photo the ground was covered in hail by the size of miniature marshmallows. Today I was supposed to travel up to Stockholm but my soul asked me to lie down for a while instead and just catch up with my breathing. I’ve gotten a whole lot better at listening to that soul of mine. Sometimes the world we need to save is inside of us. And that’s ok. Tomorrow I will open up to the world outside again and continue to fight for love and hope. Tonight I will light candles and listen to absolute stillness.

LOVE is a sculpture by the Ukranian artist Alexandr Milov.

"It demonstrates a conflict between a man and a woman as well as the outer and inner expression of human nature. The figures of the protagonists are made in the form of big metal cages, where their inner selves are captivated. Their inner selves are executed in the form of transparent children, who are holding out their hands through the grating. As it’s getting dark (night falls) the children chart to shine. This shining is a symbol of purity and sincerity that brings people together and gives a chance of making up when the dark time arrives."

Me and my kiddo. She has joined me at work since she was just a couple of weeks old. I’ve breastfed her behind the stage, I’ve had her sitting in my lap at concerts, she’s been my directors assistant at film shoots and sometimes just seated in a corner with blankets, a stuffed animal and an iPad. So. This just happened.. A couple of hours ago I received the news that I just won best actress in Cannes! 😳 My second award. When receiving the news my heart skipped not a beat but like 100. Had to put my sneakers on and run like crazy around the block. Being nominated at @crystallinefilmfest in Toronto made me almost fall over, and now my second win this year after New York. Can’t even begin to put in words what this means to me. Thank you @burtinstien and @dannerinaldo, @sproutingpictures for believing in me. And to @cannesindieshortsawards for this beautiful award. Thank you ❤️

My first award as an actress for film is now up on IMDb. I’m so thankful to all the fantastic people I’ve had the honor working with last 3 years. 2022 has begun with a bang and I’ve been trying to take it all in. I’ve never been particularly good at acknowledging my wins in life but I’ve sure been challenged to practice just that this year. So. Put my vintage dress on for the first time and danced in the kitchen.

Yesterday I got news that I was absolutely unprepared for. And I still haven’t taken it in fully. I won the category #bestactress at New York Indie short awards #newyorkindieshortsawards for my portrayal of Erika Schwarze, the German secretary who ended up a Swedish spy during WW2. It’s a 5 minute short film, just a glimpse from a much larger story. An innocent dinner scene where Erika suddenly finds herself in immediate danger. I’m so thankful for this award, it means the world to me. Don’t have words to describe the emotional dance of thoughts and and heartbeats inside my chest from trying to wrap my head around this. Thank you so so much. And a huge shoutout to @burtinstien and @dannerinaldo for choosing me to portray Erika. It truly was an honor and absolute blast working with you both. Thank you so much @nycindieshortsawards !
